I have a question that is more directed to Thibault Heimburger who did analyses on actual fibers from the Raes region of the Shroud. Thibault found cotton in fibers 1, 7, and 14. Additionally there was a dye like substance on fiber number 5. Was there any cotton/dye resin found on fibers 2- 4 and 8-13? Thanks.
Dear reader,
I did not analyse the “fibers” (in fact threads or yarns) # 1 and 14.
I only tried to count the number of cotton fibers in Raes thread #7.

Questions ?
Rogers (not myself), using micro-chemistry,found a dye on the other Raes (and C14) threads he had.
He also found and end-to-end splice in Raes #1. Villareal and al. from the Los Alamos laboratory confirmed this observation and found that the splice was secured by a brown crust which seems to be some kind of resin.
Thibault.
I am just curious as to whether the Raes threads 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 ,13, and 14 were analyzed, because so far the only threads that have been found with traces of cotton are only 1, 7, and 14. What about all of the other threads? Thanks.
Most of these threads were given by Rogers to several researchers before 2005.
I do not know where they are now.
Since threads 1, 7, and 14 were found with traces of cotton, were there any anomalous features found in threads 2 – 4, thread #6 and threads 8 – 13? Thanks.
