Mark Pedro went to the STERA Facebook page to ask:
Barry ..saw this artist take on the man upon the shroud ..I have not seen it before ..are you familiar with it ..do you know the artist ?thank you and have a blessed day
Barrie replied, promptly, as he always does:
I have seen this image on the internet for many years, superimposed over an image of the Shroud. However, I do not know the artist. Some have actually claimed the image is "miraculous" but I am not sure in what way.
Ever seen it before? Any answers? Any other thoughts? It seems to be an overlay. What am I seeing in the margins, particularly on the left and the bottom? Could this be a morphed image?

Ariel Agemian (Knight of St. Gregory) 1904-1963. Remarkably, painted in 1935, before even the Enrie photos. See Shroudstory Dec 11, 2011.
Often copied, so this particular one may not be original.
It is not
not what?
It is not the Original art created by Agemian.
This was discussed here before
http://shroudstory.com/2011/12/11/ariel-agemians-christ-painting-based-on-the-shroud-of-turin/
This is definitely NOT the painting by Ariel Agemian, although it could be a copy of his work made by someone else.
For God’s sake, to identify this painting as the one by Ariel Agemian is to be cockeyed.
“…the one by Ariel Agemian…” Did he only paint one? There are several differences between this and the one most often reproduced on the internet, but it has an obvious resemblance, don’t you think?

Only if you consider (all of) the Vignon markings :)
As far as I know the Armenian-American artist painted just one image, the others which look similar in some ways were based on this. It is not possible to confuse the original with the imitations. There are many TS and Aggemian overlapped images on the Internet, in fact one such image was even “produced” by Sai Baba, in India, to show what Jesus looked like!
This is in fact the so-called Sai Baba image. It has been on the internet for years.
That’s funny, he seems to have “materialised” the computer-produced image like the one in the link below, on Pinterest.
My intererest in Sai Baba began while doing a course in Parapsychology. He had been challenged by Dr. Abraham Kovoor, of Sri Lanka. Some time after that my professor of paraspsychology also challenged him to perform a miracle in his front, but under scientific control.
All he had to was to fill a cavity, and there could be nothing more than a gesture, or he could just utter a word, to make it more Jesus-like. The material could be obtained beforehand with a dentist.
The challenge was of course ignored. Well, so we have the “miracle man” and his computer-produced Jesus image:

Here is a link to the website of Annig Raley-Agemian, the daughter of Ariel Agemian, that honors her father’s work: http://www.agemianpaintings.com/
I emailed Annig Raley, who simply sent me a Google images search page of “agemian paintings” saying “This is the portrait of Christ which my father painted. I hope this info helps you.” I think she means “these” as there are a few, but none of them is the disputed one.
On the other hand the image above is also certainly not the Sai Baba image, which in fact resembles the Ariel Agemian image rather more than it resembles the painting above, although, like the painting above, it is often overlaid by a shoud transparency.
After burrowing about, I might suggest Heinrich Hofmann (1824-1911), whose paintings of Christ resemble the one above quite closely, although I cannot find an exact copy.
So if I am mistaken, please show me the real Satya Baba image, the one which he is said to have “manifested”. Some searching brought a Agemian-TS overlay:

There is also a Jesus sketch, but in this case nothing is said about Sai Baba:

As Jesus is an “Avatar”, incarnation of God, in Hinduism and there are many Hindu temples with images and even sculptures of Jesus, it seems that he wanted to get a “real” Jesus face and therefore TS/Agemian.
There is also a sketch, but no link to Sai Baba

Sorry, the previous link does not open. There is another one, which also takes us to the TS/Agemian:

Here is the painting by Heinrich Hoffmann, which cannot be linked either to the TS or Aggemian:
