Writes Barrie Schwortz on the STERA Facebook page:
I am still hard at work on the next website update, which should go online next weekend. In the meantime, with the upcoming 2015 exhibition of the Shroud, I thought you might like to read about the 1898 exhibition when Secondo Pia made the first photograph of the Shroud. The article is by Luigi Fossati from the Nov/Dec 1994 Issue of Collegamento pro Sindone. In case you missed it…
“And here after so many centuries the forgotten image reappears suddenly on the Shroud’s fabric with a terrible truthfulness, with the authenticity not only of an irrefutable document, but of a present fact. The nineteen centuries interval is suddenly erased; the past is transferred to the present. ”

During a recent bible study our group decided to dissect the available information information
on the Shroud . A curiosity arose when we sort of ran out of all evidence and speculations
and we focused on the shin a “E” symbol on the forehead often suggested as a run of AB
blood precipitated by the crown of thorns. Upon using a HD photo image with a series of
enlargements or zooms we captured the image of a crucified man on a cross head turned
to the right.
