Second illustration in the Hungarian Pray Manuscript (or Pray Codex) as seen in the National Széchényi Library of Budapest. Named after György Pray who studied it in the late 1700s. It is the earliest known example of Hungarian literature.
Good Friday: Jesus being taken down from the cross

Blessed Easter everyone.
Just a little information about this Pray codex : M. Pray was a Jesuit historian from Hungary. I think this codex he uncovered, along with the testimony of Robert de Clari, are the only 2 really solid historical evidences that the Shroud was in the middle east before it was exposed in Lirey, France around 1357.
Oh… I forget : Blessed Easter to you also my dear friend in Christ Ron ! ;-)
