I already reported that John and Rebecca Jackson, who founded the Turin Shroud Center in Colorado Springs, will be presenting, “Mysteries of the Shroud of Turin” at 7 p.m. September 20 at Bemis Library, 6014 S. Datura Street, Littleton. The program is free. For more information call 303-795-3961.
Now, I am happy to report that John and Rebecca will be giving another presentation on Saturday, September 24 at 6:30 p.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, 495 N. Harrison Boulevard in Ogden. The presentation is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to help defray costs.
If I was there, I would say to M. Jackson : Please, forget about the resurrection hypothesis one moment and try to examine (or re-examine) some natural hypothesis for image formation. YOU GOT NOTHING TO LOSE TO TRY SOME !!! ;-)
With STURP, Jackson co-wrote a good paper that examine many hypothesis of image formation (natural and supernatural) but this paper (nor the STURP paper written by Rogers and Schwalbe) cannot pretend to have checked EVERY natural possibilities… There’s still many good experiments waiting to be done and I’m sure M. Jackson could be one scientist with the professionnal skills to do that. Unfortunatelly, he doesn’t seem to be willing to test natural hypothesis no more.
