The Shroud of Turin & The Shroud of Oviedo. The authenticity of the Shroud of Turin has been questioned for a variety of reasons. The Shroud of Oviedo is claimed to be the cloth wrapped around the head of Jesus Christ after his death. This course will examine the evidence both supporting and challenging their authenticity and discuss what is known about their journey to Europe.

Shroud Encounter: Exploring the Mystery of the Shroud of Turin will be presented [by Russ Breault] at St. Lambert Church, 8148 N. Karlov Avenue in Skokie. There will be two showings: Saturday, March 7, at 7:00 p.m., and then again on Sunday, March 8, at 2:00 p.m. There is a fee of $5 per person, with children 18 and under admitted free of charge.
