My very good friend, Dan Scavone, Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Southern Indiana writes:
Dear Shroud researchers (and Christians everywhere),
I have visited Torino to see our beloved Shroud in every time of its exposition since 1978.
I expect to come again in 2015. Any opportunity to view Our Lord in the flesh this side of heaven is precious.
I wish only that the exposition will offer an opportunity for scholars to share new and potentially valuable information concerning the authenticity of the most important relic in Christendom. . . .
In 2015, I intend to see the Shroud of Turin for the first time. Dan, I’ll see you there.
Hello, Dan: I too hope to visit Torino during the exposition. It will be the first time for me and I’m really looking forward to it.. I have written a trilogy about the Shroud of Turin (not published yet, but hoping) and because of all the research I’ve done, am so anxious to see the burial cloth of our Savior. I believe it’s the first fictional trilogy where the people actually living at the various times intermingle with my characters.
