A FULL-sized replica of one of Christianity’s most cherished but controversial relics is heading to Burton.
The copy of the Turin Shroud, the only such replica on display in the UK, will be available to view at St Josephs’ Catholic Church, in Mount Street, Winshill, during the festival of Pentecost.

The canvas, a photograph printed onto cotton by American photographer Barrie Scwhortz, the official photographer at an examination of the shroud in 1978, will be displayed alongside an exhibition on its history, while its curator, Pam Moon, will deliver a talk on the subject.
