We have one review of "I’m Not Jesus, Mommy" from Chris Hewitt at the Twin Cities Pioneer Press:
The Minnesota-made drama is a horror movie, a post-apocalyptic survival tale, an exploration of religious mania and an oddball-kid shocker, a la "The Omen." It’s also about cloning and arrogance and science-without-morality. And the pain of infertility. Oh, and the sacred relic [the Shroud of Turin] that supplies the film with its reveals-too-much title. And maybe some other things I’ve missed.
Director/co-writer Vaughn Juares is nothing if not ambitious . . . bites off more than he can chew in this Minnesota-shot film, and the script doesn’t do justice to everything it tries to take on.
Hewitt is also reporting that Comcast and Turner Networks are refusing to carry advertising for the movie because of offensive content.
Will this movie move out of the Twin Cities area? Some pundits (has anyone other than Hewitt seen it?) suggest that it is destined for the Netflix cult-followers instant download queue. I’ll may wait until then to watch it unless Juares sends me a DVD or a link (hint, hint).
