Again, I wish one of these surveys would ask about the Shroud

Of course, we would want to know the answer for groups. Lets add in Catholics and Episcopalians as groups. From CNN:

Nearly half of Tea Partiers believe the Bible is the literal word of God, for example. One in three Americans overall believes that, while nearly two in  three white evangelicals do.

The Public Religion Research Institute report, "Religion and the Tea  Party in the 2010 Election: An Analysis of the Third Biennial American Values  Survey," is based on telephone polling of a national random suvey of 3,013 adults between September 1 and 14.
